a bad day for christians

apparently, some christians in new york have taken to praying over the bull statue, which some are comparing to the golden calf statue (baal) of the old testament.

i do profess to be a christian and believer of Jesus Christ. i do believe we should pray to God for the things that are on our heart. however, i think praying for “more money” starts to cross the line into selfishness. why all the concern now, since it’s our economies? how often do we pray for the economies of africa?

on the same note, i’ve been told the average church-goer gives less than 2% back. so are we praying for more money to keep more?
